Julia is well-versed in navigating California's complex political landscape, bringing a broad range of public affairs and legislative experience across a variety of issue areas and a knack for crisis communications to the Miller Public Affairs Group team.

Before joining Miller Public Affairs Group, Julia was a public information officer at the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, where she promoted statewide emergency preparedness and tackled crisis communications in the agency’s comms shop. Prior to that, she helped lead strategic communications at Lucas Public Affairs and served as a legislative aide in the California State Assembly.

Born and raised in Sacramento, Julia received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a master’s degree in government from Johns Hopkins University. While in college, she worked as the public affairs campaign manager for the California Cybersecurity Institute.

She lives in Lincoln with her dog Daisy and during her free time, enjoys cooking, reading and getting outside to enjoy all Northern California has to offer.
